You’ve tried bringing it back to original factory settings which seems to help for a short time until current updates are applied again to install all the latest security patches. Frustration grows as Programs / Web Pages seem to take forever to load and your computer just isn’t enjoyable to use anymore and you go out an buy a new computer, leaving the old one in the cupboard to gather dust. It really doesn’t have to be this way.Depending on what you do with your computer, LegacyOS could extend its life by about 4 years. At the very least it could become a Teenager’s first computer running a 2023 OS. When making the decision to bring back LegacyOS an Operating System that traces it history back to 2007, it was decided it would be based on the lastest version of Debian.By doing so users gain a well tested stable base with the latest security patches and one of the largest package repositories in Linux. Now combine it with a light weight Desktop based on antiX, add a large collection of Application and customizing and you have LegacyOS.By using a light weight Desktop more system resources are available to run Applications meaning a computer running LegacyOS doesn’t need as much CPU Power or Ram as the original Windows Operating System did. What is LegacyOS LegacyOS is a customized version of antiX Linux built with unique icewm themes, icons, gtk themes and a larger collection of specially chosen Applications and System files by default over antiX. LegacyOS would not be possible without the amazing work of Debian’s hundreds if not thousands of developers and the amazing antiX team.
